We have no surviving closet doors. To make a more usable and kid friendly space, they had to go. Knowing what to do with them once they were off was the tricky part, but we found a way.
- Take up precious space.
- Are finger smashing hazards with kids.
- Provide privacy and soundproofing – worth the risk and space in our bedrooms – but something our closet stuff doesn’t need.
- Prevent 2 people from using a closet at the same time.
- Create rigid, unforgiving boundaries with the tracks.
